Paraguay appoints chief banking regulator

PARAGUAY - Angel Gabriel Gonzales has been re-appointed as chief banking regulator in Paraguay.

Senate was due to appoint him last week, but that session was interrupted by the visit of Taiwan's president, a spokesperson said.

Gonzales was banking regulator two years ago and since then he has served as the government-appointed director of state-run water utility Corposana.
