Lithuanian cbank outlines strategies for 2001

On Jan. 11, the Board of the Bank of Lithuania approved its work plan for 2001. In 2001, the Board is planning to discuss the following issues:

* amendments to the rules on reserve requirements developed in line with ECB standards and peculiarities in Lithuania;

* amendments and supplements to the rules on the consolidation of financial statements and consolidated supervision; implementation of the proposed repegging of the litas to the euro;

* draft legislation on the establishment and prude
