SNB hikes interest rates by 25 points

The Swiss National Bank (SNB) raised interest rates by 25 basis points Thursday 15 March, citing the excellent shape of the Swiss economy and a slight upward trend in inflation.

The three-month Libor rate range has been raised by 0.25 percentage points to 1.75-2.75 pct, and the National Bank intends to keep the three-month Libor rate in the middle of the target range at 2.25 pct, it said.
