Bank of England MPC Minutes, 9 &10 February

The minutes from the 9 &10 February meeting of the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee published on Wednesday 23 February showed eight members voted to hold interest rates unchanged, with Paul Tucker voting against, preferring a rise in the repo rate of 25 basis points to 5%.

Some members of the committee backing no change this month ``noted that an increase might be warranted in due course'' if the economy expands in line with the bank's projections.
