Canada's Dodge repeats calls for transparency

David Dodge, the governor of the Bank of Canada, underlined his argument that a lack of transparency was behind the recent turmoil on Friday.

After blaming opacity for the current bout of volatility on Wednesday, Dodge told the Financial Times that banks should look to clarify their structured products in order to find a way out of the turmoil, though he added that this may take time.

Dodge said that central banks should review how they use credit ratings to assess whether collateral is suitable
