Authorities seek 'insiders' after $3m bank theft

IVORY COAST - Thieves who stole over $3-million from the Ivory Coast's main branch of the West African central bank had accomplices on the inside, police said on Sunday.

The 27 August robbery scandalised the country when it emerged that criminals had simply driven into the bank's compound in the main city, Abidjan, and made off with bags full of cash belonging to some of the world's poorest nations.
