Cleveland Fed's Pianalto reveals basketball link

Visiting a school recently, Cleveland Fed President Sandra Pianalto was mobbed for autographs by the schoolchildren who crowded round her.

"I feel like LeBron James!" she exclaimed on a visit to Louis Munoz Marin Middle School as part of a campaign to improve financial literacy among city schoolchildren.

Pianalto's duties at President of the Federal Reserve bank of Cleveland include making public appearances in the bank district where she grew up, gathering information and explaining what she does to help form the nation's monetary policy.

She revealed that both she and James, the top pick in last year's National Basketball Association draft, went to St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, separated by about three decades.
