ECB raises rates, signals more to come

European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet signalled the bank plans to raise its key interest rate again in December after raising eurozone rates on Thursday 5 October.

ECB policy makers meeting in Paris increased the benchmark lending rate to 3.25 percent from 3 percent.

Policy makers meet away from the ECB's Frankfurt headquarters twice a year.

Investors expect an increase in the rate to 3.5 percent this year, and Trichet said ``I would not say anything that would correct this sentiment
