Public to blame for inflation: Zimbabwe's Gono

Gideon Gono, the governor of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe, has said the public are to blame for the country's bout of hyperinflation.

Gono told the Sunday Mail, a state-owned newspaper, that hyperinflation, which an unofficial estimate put at 531 billion% for the year to September, was the result of a "collective failure" of the public to produce enough food.
