IMF's Koehler: Japan economic growth 'sustainable'

Speaking Tuesday on a visit to Asia the head of the International Monetary Fund said Japan can sustain its recent recovery and praised reforms in the nation's financial sector.

"I do think it is sustainable,'' IMF Managing Director Horst Koehler said of Japan's recent economic growth.

Koehler was commenting following a closed meeting with Japan's Economy Minister Heizo Takenaka in Tokyo.
