Japan's Abe says BOJ should be transparent

Japan's top government spokesman said on Tuesday 7 March that it was important that the Bank of Japan's monetary policy is transparent.

"The BOJ decides policy based on its principle of independence, but generally speaking, it must make its decisions transparent and explain its actions clearly," Chief Cabinet Secretary Shinzo Abe told a news conference.

Meanwhile, Finance Minister Sadakazu Tanigaki said Tuesday he would like to see the BOJ's outlook on prices and the economy which the central bank
