Thai central bank and govt to discuss credit cards

THAILAND - The Bank of Thailand and the Finance Ministry will meet this week to finalise details of a new regulatory structure for non-bank credit card issuers.

Consumers should band together to more effectively strengthen their rights in the use of credit cards, says Kridsada Udyanin, director of the monetary policy and financial institution division at the Fiscal Policy Office, reported the Bangkok Post.
