Asian forum Manila Framework Group meets in China

CHINA - The Manila Framework Group regional financial forum started a two-day meeting in Beijing on Mar 28, 2001 to discuss a range of issues including the impact of the slowing U.S. economy, organisers said.

The group, which includes senior finance and central bank officials from 14 countries, would concentrate on regional surveillance, financial and corporate restructuring and reform of the global financial system, China's Ministry of Finance said. They would also review existing financing
