C bank chief - Mexico will meet inflation target

The governor of Mexico's central bank, Guillermo Ortiz, has said the country's 3 percent inflation target for this year is be met within a 1 percent range either side.

Mexico will meet the inflation target of 3 percent for this year, said Guillermo Ortiz, governor of Mexico's central bank.

"We expect to converge with this year's goal of inflation of 3 percent, with a 1 percent plus or minus range," Ortiz said, speaking at a press conference.
