IMF's Koehler supports Japan's FX intervention

Visiting International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director Horst Koehler said Wednesday 25 February in Tokyo that he could understand Japan's currency intervention policy.

During a Tokyo press conference, Koehler said it helps tackle deflation when the government has limited policy options to prop up the economy.
