Iraqi central banker dies in ambush

A senior official from Iraq's central bank died after his car was ambushed by gunmen in Mosul on Monday.

Khair el-Deen Sabri Ahmed, the general manager of the central bank's branch in Nineveh, was shot dead on his way to work, according to police.

His two bodyguards also perished in the attack.
