Economic analysts dismiss threat of US 'deflation'

The Shadow Open Market Committee, a group of mostly academic economists who monitor the policies of the U.S. central bank, has dismissed the threat of deflation, a damaging economy-wide drop in prices. The group is similarly unfazed by the fall in the dollar.
At its semi-annual meeting in Washington, the Shadow Open Market Committee said deflation fears are
