Eurozone inflation falls

Inflation in the eurozone fell to 1.6 percent in February, the lowest level since November 1999, according to preliminary figures released by the EU's data agency Eurostat Friday.

In January 12-month inflation was 1.9 percent, Eurostat said, revising earlier figures down by 0.1 percentage point. The European Central Bank has set a medium-term ceiling for eurozone inflation of 2.0 percent.
