SEANZA central banks see liberalisation gains

Central bankers from Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand (SEANZA) met this week and agreed to assess the impact of global financial liberalisation on regional monetary, exchange rate and banking supervision policy.

The SEANZA meeting of 20 countries was hosted by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas last weekend, and focused on the role of central banks in the modern and integrated financial system, BSP Deputy Governor Amando Tetangco Jr. told reporters.
