SARB increases dollar buying

The South African Reserve Bank said in a statement released Friday that it increased its purchase of US dollars during November. SARB governor Tito Mboweni emphasised that these operations represented normal prudent management of the Reserve Bank's balance sheet as is ordinarily the case in central banking.
