IMF set to warn ECB against lifting rate too soon

The International Monetary Fund will warn the European Central Bank against lifting interest rates too soon in its next report on the world economic outlook, the Financial Times Deutschland reported without citing sources.

It said the IMF recommends that the ECB keep interest rates at their historically low level until domestic demand in the euro zone has stabilised and the economic recovery is self-sustaining.
