Former deputy head of central bank released

UKRAINE - According to Ukrainian TV on Apr 6, a former deputy head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Volodymyr Bondar, was released from arrest. The former banker had to given a written promise that he would not leave the country.

Volodymyr Bondar was accused of making a deal, which was already known to have been unprofitable, with a bank from Cyprus to allocate $75m of gold and currency reserves. Bondar's health had seriously deteriorated and he was taken to hospital and now even the arrest w
