Vice president attacks central bank of Peru

Peruvian Vice President David Waisman criticized a central bank decision to allow pension funds to invest more abroad, saying it hurts the country's economy, Gestion newspaper reported.

Waisman said the central bank's decision to boost the limits and allow pension funds to invest an additional $100 million abroad goes ``against the interests of the country,'' Gestion reported. He said the move will cause an outflow of national savings and lead to more expensive loans.
