Argentina's Redrado says reserve building vital

Argentine central bank president Martin Redrado said Monday 8 January Latin American countries should take advantage of the current moment of good economic growth to build up foreign reserves to prepare for unforeseen problems.

The economies of the region are set to continue their growth with ``contained'' inflation and ``better'' macroeconomic policies, he told reporters at a meeting of central bankers from the Group of 10 nations in Basel, Switzerland.
