Denmark's Andersen to step down Oct 2005

The governor of Denmark's central bank, Bodil Nyboe Andersen, has informed the government that she wishes to retire in October, 2005, when she turns 65.

Nyboe Andersen was appointed governor of the central bank in 1995.

The government said in a separate statement that it will consider the appointment of a successor as central bank governor sometime during the spring.
