BOJ keeps monetary policy unchanged

JAPAN - Japan's central bank left its monetary policy unchanged Tuesday to keep plenty of cash flowing in the financial system and help the nation's fledgling recovery.

The Bank of Japan decided at a two-day policy board meeting ending Tuesday to keep the amount of deposits that commercial banks leave at the central bank at a range of 10 trillion yen (US$ 86 billion) to 15 trillion yen (US$ 129 billion).
