PBOC chief wants more data before decision

Chinese central bank governor Zhou Xiaochuan said on Wednesday 10 January in comments to Reuters he was waiting to see more economic data before making any decision to change interest rates.

"We are looking for economic indicators and inflation rate," Zhuo Xiaochuan said in brief remarks to Reuters.

"So in the current stage we are not sure to change the current interest rate. We are waiting to see the further change of the economic data."

Zhou made his comments on a visit to the Tunis
