Russian gov't to cancel currency regulations 2007

RUSSIA - The Russian government plans to completely cancel currency regulations starting in 2007, the Vedomosti daily business newspaper reported on Tuesday, quoting First Deputy Finance Minister Aleksey Ulyukayev.

He was commenting on the results of the council, dedicated to completing the new currency regulation and control bill, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Aleksey Kudrin last Friday [1 November].
