African central bank governors meet in Uganda

At least 100 African ministers of finance and central bank governors were expected in Uganda Friday 21 May to discuss the obstacles to the continent's participation in global trade.

The conference was organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). Established in 1958, the body is one of five regional commissions under the administrative direction of the United Nations headquarters.

President Yoweri Museveni was scheduled to open the conference Friday at Speke Resort Munyonyo
