Matti Vanhala to retire on disability pension
The Governor of the Bank of Finland, Matti Vanhala will take sick leave from next Monday, 15 March, and retire on disability pension from 1 April 2004. Mr Vanhala's departure from the Bank is due to his previously-diagnosed cancer. His future medical treatment prevents his continued handling of his
