China legislates to protect foreign CB assets

The Chinese government is considering legislation which would exempt the assets of foreign central banks from judicial enforcement, according to the China Daily.

The bill, currently before the standing committee of the 10th National People's Congress, would bring legislation up to date with the existing practice of protecting foreign central bank assets from the courts.
