Deputy head of Central Bank of Russia appointed

RUSSIA - Central Bank of Russia chairman Sergey Ignatyev signed on Wednesday an order appointing Konstantin Korishchenko as his deputy, a source in the bank said Thursday.

Duties will be redistributed shortly between bank deputy chairmen, he said.

"It would be logical to assume that Korishchenko will attend to matters he dealt with when he headed the open market transaction department," the source said.
