IDB meeting to focus on trade and investment

The April 10-12 meeting of the Inter-American Development Bank, to be chaired by Japanese Finance Minister Sadakazu Tanigaki, will bring together finance ministers and central bank governors from its 46 member countries, officials said at a news conference in Tokyo on Thursday 17 March.

Member countries will consider lowering charges for overseas fund remittance, given that Latin American immigrants' annual remittances of $38 billion to their home countries exceed total assistance the region
