Central Bank of Costa Rica installs .NET

COSTA RICA - The Central Bank of Costa Rica has migrated its interbank electronic payments and transaction system (SINPE) to Microsoft Corp.'s .NET technologies.

The American Banker on Friday reported that the system's increased productivity "is vital for the central bank of a country with a growing economy and a high level of international transactions," Luis Zumbado, the bank's director of SINPE technologies, said Monday.
