PBOC's Zhou says no monetary tightening plan now

People's Bank of China governor Zhou Xiaochuan has said the PBOC does not plan to start further monetary tightening measures and will instead wait to assess the impact of its previous policy action.

Zhou said at the sidelines of a conference in Beijing on Tuesday that after the rate hike "we are still observing the effects of these policies and we will not take tightening measures in the immediate future."
