BNB governor proposes Kostov as deputy

The governor of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB), Ivan Iskrov, has proposed Dimitar Kostov as deputy governor of the central bank and head of the banking department.

Kostov, who currently chairs the Association of Commercial Banks (ACB) and is CEO of Allianz Bulgaria, would replace Bozhidar Kabakchiev, whose six-year term expires. The proposal was made in a letter to parliamentary chair Borislav Velikov with Dimitar Kostov's approval.
