BOJ to cut annual salary for executives by 0.4%

JAPAN - The Bank of Japan (BOJ) said Friday it will cut the annual salary of its executives for this fiscal year by 0.4% from the previous year.

The cut will be implemented through reductions in biannual bonuses, the central bank said.

The annual salary for the BOJ governor will be 38.42 million yen for fiscal 2001 through next March, down 150,000 yen from the previous year.
