Riksbank drops CPIX inflation measure

Barbro Wickman-Parak, the first deputy governor of the Riksbank, said on Monday that the central bank would phase out its use of the CPIX inflation measure.

The central bank had previously paid close attention to CPIX inflation, which was thought to converge with the CPI statistic in the long run. However, Wickman-Parak said that this relationship between the two measures had now changed.
