Brazil sees Sept current account surplus of $1 bln

BRAZIL - Brazil's central bank on Thursday forecast a current account balance of payments surplus of $1 billion in September.

The bank also estimated that foreign direct investment (FDI) this month would total $800 million, Altamir Lopes, head of the bank's economics department, told a news conference, Reuters reported. That would be less than the $882 million Brazil received in August.
