Fukui sees return to growth for Japan soon

Bank of Japan governor Toshihiko Fukui told parliament that the nation's economy should return to sustained growth soon.

``The economy should pull out of stagnation soon,'' Fukui said at Japan's parliament in Tokyo.

A close watch needs to be kept on oil price gains and efforts by information technology companies to reduce inventory, because these may hurt expansion, Fukui said.
