Snow calls for Europe economic reforms

US Treasury Secretary John Snow urged Europeans on Thursday 16 June to better integrate their financial markets as a way to stimulate growth.

Snow, speaking after a meeting with European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet, called for increased efforts on both sides of the Atlantic to increase growth.

"It's important that Europe and the U.S. get at things standing in the way of higher growth," Snow said, citing Washington's efforts to cut its budget and trade deficits.
