BoE worries about banks exposure to telecoms

The Bank of England is expected to express concern at the level of debt run up by telecoms companies, the UK's Telegraph newspaper said on Monday.

The central bank, in its Financial Stability Review later this week, is expected to warn about banks' exposure to what some estimates put at $410bn of bonds and loans issued over the last year.Just last week, UK financial watchdog the Financial Services Authority expressed similar worries about telecom company debt as the central bank.
