Lithuanian, Polish national banks to cooperate

Heads of the Lithuanian and Polish central banks, Reinoldijus Sarkinas and Hanna Gronkiewicz-Waltz, have signed an agreement on the mutual cooperation in the sphere of the supervision of banking activities.

The agreement will make it possible for the two banks to compare their banking supervision procedures, coordinate projects, exchange information and standardise banking procedures. Gronkiewicz-Waltz maintained that the agreement is highly significant in terms of both countries' joining of the
