Govt might question CNB governor's appointment

CZECH REPUBLIC - The Czech government could question the appointment of Zdenek Tuma as Czech National Bank (CNB) governor by lodging a complaint with the Constitutional Court, Deputy Premier Pavel Rychetsky said at a press conference on Apr 18.

He told journalists that the general formulation of the proposal, on which he and President Vaclav Havel had agreed, would be replaced by a concrete demand that the court take a stance on the validity of the president's decision from November 29, 2000
