Wim Duisenberg on ECB's interest rate decision

STATEMENT - Wim Duisenberg, president of the ECB, made an introductory statement to a press conference in Frankfurt am Main on 6 June concerning the ECB Governing Council's decision to leave interest rates unchanged:

Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Papademos, the new Vice-President of the ECB, and I will now report on the outcome of today's meeting of the Governing Council of the ECB.
