Dong He
Dong He is Amro’s chief economist, responsible for leading the organisation’s country and regional surveillance.
He previously served as deputy director of the monetary and capital markets department at the IMF. He started his career in 1993 at the World Bank and joined the IMF in 1998. He subsequently took up senior positions at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, serving as its executive director of research and as director of the Hong Kong Institute for Monetary Research from 2009–14.
He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Cambridge.
