Andrew Bailey
Andrew Bailey is governor of the Bank of England. Before taking on his role in March 2020, he was chief executive of the Financial Conduct Authority, a position he had held since July 2016, and where he also sat on the BoE’s Prudential Regulation Committee and Financial Policy Committee. He was previously deputy governor for prudential regulation and chief executive of the Prudential Regulation Authority. He has held many other positions at the BoE, including executive director, chief cashier, private secretary to the governor and head of the international economic analysis division.
