Rahmatullah Sjamsudin
Rahmatullah Sjamsudin – Executive Director, Head of Reserve Management Department, Bank Indonesia – brings over three decades of experience to the central bank, with extensive expertise in foreign reserve portfolio management, open market operations and domestic financial market development.
With a strong foundation in macroeconomics, monetary policy and financial markets, he is currently focused on transforming reserve management strategies to address today’s highly uncertain and challenging market environment. His previous leadership roles include Director of Financial Market Development and Director of Monetary Operations at BI.
In addition to his role at the central bank, he serves as Chairman of the Board, Risk Management Committee, at the International Islamic Liquidity Management Corporation (IILM), Member of the Bank for International Settlements’ Markets Committee, Adviser to Indonesia’s ACI/Financial Market Association (FMA), and Vice-chairman of the Supervisory Board for Bank Indonesia’s Pension Fund.
He holds a master’s degree in international affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs.
