Taleh Kazimov
Taleh Kazimov has served as governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan since 2022. He leads key initiatives aimed at enhancing the sustainability of the financial sector while preserving macroeconomic stability.
Kazimov has extensive experience in finance and banking, working for Bank Standard, Ernst & Young and the Fineko Information & Analytical Agency. In 2007, he joined Pasha Bank, advancing from risk management to head of treasury, and later becoming chief executive in 2015.
Kazimov studied automation and computer engineering at Azerbaijan Technical University and holds master’s degrees in business management from the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy and in finance from Georgia State University. Kazimov has also participated in executive education programmes at the London Business School and Harvard Business School.
