The governor of the Central Bank of Iceland has promised to wear a Christmas sweater when he delivers the bank's interest rate decision on December 9 if people donate Ikr600,000 ($4,862) to a local anti-bullying campaign.

Now he is encouraging fellow central bankers to become better at supporting charity causes – and not take themselves too seriously while doing so.

Már Guðmundsson is among a handful of local celebrities who are donning the traditional garment to raise money for the "Harmony"
