Charitable governor vows to deliver next interest rate decision in Christmas sweater

The governor of the Central Bank of Iceland has promised to wear a Christmas sweater when he delivers the bank's interest rate decision on December 9 if people donate Ikr600,000 ($4,862) to a local anti-bullying campaign.

Now he is encouraging fellow central bankers to become better at supporting charity causes – and not take themselves too seriously while doing so.
